The Rewind Technique for Trauma

Hello and welcome to this week's blog.  I just wanted to give you some insight into 'The Rewind Technique' What it is about, why it is go good, what is it for and how does it help.

So the Rewind Technique was invented by a gentleman called David Muss.  It was originally used with veterans who were suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  They were asked to fill out a form and their score was added, if it was above a certain point, they were eligible to have the Technique done on them.  The best thing about this Technique is that it doesn't require the person who has suffered the trauma to speak about it, it's all about the visualisation.  Which is amazing, and has been pointed out by my previous clients that it was a lot easier than they thought.

The technique cannot be done wrong, it might take a few times to get it how you need it in your mind, and it certainly cannot do any damage, it can only be beneficial.  The only way to know that it wasn't quite as ok as you thought it was if the PTSD returns after a few days or a week, as once the technique is done fully, the PTSD should reduce immensely.  This is shown by the scores before the technique and then on a follow up a few weeks after the technique has been completed.

There has been a lot of research done and this is an amazing technique to help you move forward from any symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

If you would like to book in with me to discuss this then please use the link below to book a free 15 minute online consultation and I would be pleased to answer any questions on this or anything related to how I work.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.
